If it's not sitting on our shelves, that doesn't mean we can't get it. Custom and special orders are a regular part of how we do business. Whether you need a handful of specialty pieces or a full material package for an entire build, we're happy to make the calls, get you pricing, and get it moving toward your site.

Types of Custom Orders

  • Whether you need oversized beams for a timber frame, a specific species to match existing work, or a profile you can't find anywhere else, custom lumber is cut to order right from the mill. The main species are red and white pine, red and white cedar and Douglas fir, with exotics like mahogany, purpleheart and tigerwood available too.

  • Beyond our stocked brands, we order custom sizes to fit almost any opening. The only real limit is what the manufacturer can build.

  • Custom siding spans engineered options like CanExel, Hardie, Hardie True Grain, LP Expert Finish, LP Natural Collection and Maibec genuine wood, plus vinyl through Gentek and Kaycan. We also do specialty wood siding, including cedar, half log and real log, often milled to match an existing older cottage.

  • Metal roofing is a custom order every time, built to your profile and colour and made for the demands of a lake country roof.

  • Custom interior work runs from specialty interior lumber through to one off doors. Off the shelf sizes are easy, but if you want something like an eight foot walnut door, that's exactly the kind of thing we order in.

  • No, there is no minimum on custom or special orders. Whether you need a single specialty piece or a full package for a build, we are happy to source it. Some items are quick to bring in and others take longer, but the size of the order is not a barrier. If it helps you complete your project, we will get it for you.
