Lumber One is based in Falcon Lake, Manitoba, in the heart of lake country. We supply and deliver throughout the surrounding region, including the Whiteshell, West Hawk Lake, and Lake of the Woods. That covers year-round homes, seasonal cottages, and remote or boat-access sites. If your build is anywhere in the area we very likely already deliver there, and if we don't, we will find a way to get your materials to you.
-
No, not at all. We supply professional builders and homeowners equally, whether you are framing a new home or picking up a few boards for a weekend project. There is no minimum order, so you can buy a single length of trim or a full truckload. Our team is happy to help you figure out exactly what you need for the job, no matter the size.
-
Quite a lot more than lumber. We carry a full range of building materials, including siding, roofing, windows and doors, decking and railing, flooring, hardware, tools, paint and stains. Beyond what is on the shelves, we handle custom orders and run an in-house Design Centre for plans and blueprints.
If we do not stock something, we can usually source it for you.

Yes, delivery is a core part of what we do, and reaching difficult sites is something we have done for decades. Standard orders go out by truck across lake country, scheduled around your build. For remote and water-access sites, we deliver by barge in summer, by ice road once the lakes freeze, and even by helicopter when a load has to reach a spot nothing else can. No site is truly out of reach.

-
Yes. We set up accounts for contractors and regular customers to make ongoing orders and billing easier to manage across a season or a job. Contact us to get one set up and we will walk you through the details.
-
Yes, send us your material list or takeoff and we will put together a quote for you. We are used to working from a builder's numbers, and we can flag substitutions, lead times, and anything that might affect the schedule. As the job firms up, we can adjust the quote so it stays accurate right through to delivery.
-
Yes. If you are running more than one project, we can coordinate a single order and split the delivery across multiple sites. Just give us the addresses and the timing you need for each when you book, and we will plan the loads accordingly. It saves you handling and keeps materials arriving where and when the crew needs them.
-
Yes, custom and special orders are a big part of what we do. We custom-mill lumber and source specialty siding, non-standard windows and doors, metal roofing, and one-off pieces to match a specific build. There is no minimum order, so whether you need a single specialty item or a full package, we can bring it in. Tell us what you are after and we will give you pricing and a timeline.

Our in-house Design Centre works with you to turn an idea into a complete, buildable plan, constructed around the practical realities of your site.
Whether you are starting with a rough sketch or nothing at all, our team is ready to help.
-
Absolutely, and it is one of the most useful things we do. Tell us what you are building, how the space gets used, and your budget, and we will recommend the right products and grades for the job. We pay particular attention to how materials hold up in lake country, where moisture, freeze-thaw, and seasonal use put extra demands on a build. The goal is to get you materials that last, not just materials that fit.
-
Yes. We work with a network of trusted local contractors and can point you toward the right one for your project and your area. Just ask us in store, or use the Find a Contractor page. Because we supply many of the builders working in lake country, we can often connect you with someone who already knows the region and the way things get built here.
-
We supply kitchen and bath materials and fixtures in-store. For full kitchen design, our in-house design services are focused primarily on building projects, additions, and cottage builds, so ask us about what we can offer for your specific project.
